Yet another Olivetti purchase…

My justification for buying a third Lettera 22 was that this one has round keys… and also a very nice typeface…

This splendid taupe coloured ’22 was manufactured in Glasgow, Scotland, Great Britain – and has a serial number with an “S” prefix (‘S’ for Scotland?).

A Vintage Technology Obsessions blog post shows off a nice example of a Glaswegian-made round-keyed Lettera 22 – one which has an embossed Olivetti brand name on the paper plate.

Another interesting and unique example (at least as far as the larger lettering on the key tops goes) is the  Lettera 22 described in this post by Robert Messenger.

No embossed Olivetti brand name or fancy tartan dust cover came with mine…

The British Olivetti instruction booklet that came with it is nicely done …
