After the excitement of Day 1 and feeling refreshed after a good night’s sleep, I checked-out of my hotel and took Scott K’s advice and headed to the jetty at North Quay in order to travel to Kangaroo Point by ferry.
A change of ferry at Eagle Street jetty and I was on my way…
.. across to the Holman jetty and Captain Bourke park… the venue for this year’s type-in (-out).
Forty-five minutes or so later the type-in was in full swing…

Being a newbie, I succeeded in winning the wooden spoon (not one of Mr Bowker’s fine spoons unfortunately) in the speed typing competition.
Undaunted, there were plenty of nice typewriters I enjoyed clumsily two-finger typing on …
