There’s nothing at all modest about this 1952 Everest Mod. S.T.  typewriter. When it came up on Australian eBay (local pickup only)  I felt duty-bound to make a bid for it, and was delighted to get it for  $51  – rounded down to $50 by the seller, who told me he’d been thinking of throwing it out. The typewriter belonged to his late father and had been languishing in his garage for many years –  as evidenced by a thick layer of dust inside and out (no case or cover supplied). Fact is, you couldn’t “throw” this typewriter anywhere unless you possessed Herculean strength. Did I mention this typewriter is VERY HEAVY? “Does my bum look  big in this pic?” Sure, she’s got big bones, but this fat-bottomed Italian beauty is just brimming with opulent touches…
