Three gull-winged typewriters in quick succession. I decided to celebrate by taking my Nippo Atlas to the beach.
My wife came along for the ride too and we stopped off at Sorrento Quay, Hillarys Boat Harbour.
It’s a popular swimming/tourist spot – playgrounds for the kids, picnic areas, and a collection of overpriced fast food outlets, coffee shops and surf boutiques, etc. all crammed onto a wooden jetty.
The are plenty of rich pickings for the local gulls and they’re quite brazen. Swooping down onto the tables to get what crumbs they can.
But on this occasion they were none too happy to share the limelight with a gull-winged typewriter …
Fact is, my feathered friend, you do not have a monopoly on the sky.
And neither do scavenging rooks …
“Fly my little one, fly!”
